Bridal procession on the Hardangerfjord jumper

499 kr

One of the most famous paintings ever to come out of Norway – a bridal procession making its way over the fjord a midsummer’s day surrounded by mighty mountains and lush greenery. Norwegian National Romanticism at its finest!

The painting was made in collaboration – Hans Gude recreated the beauty of Norwegian landscapes while Adolph Tideman merged it with figures wearing traditional folk costumes.
